Abstract
Ponorogo is known not only for its cultural and religious heritage but
also for its traditional culinary industry, notably the Setono Village
chicken satay. This study explores how the satay industry enhances
community welfare from an Islamic economic perspective. Using
qualitative field research, data were collected through interviews and
observation. Results show that the industry boosts income, improves
living standards, and supports education and health through
community solidarity. Islamic values like mutual aid and ethical
business strengthen social cohesion. The Setono model illustrates how
faith-based microenterprises can drive inclusive and sustainable
development.
