Abstract
This study aims to describe the effectiveness of digital learning in improving the listening ability of
grade XI students at MAN Pacitan. The research background is based on the needs of Indonesian
learning which requires active and critical listening skills, while learning practices in the classroom
are still not fully able to facilitate students in understanding oral discourse in depth. This condition
shows the need for learning innovations that utilize digital technology as a means of supporting
listening activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with research subjects including
Indonesian teachers, grade XI students, and deputy heads of madrasas for curriculum. Learning
innovations are carried out through the use of various digital platforms, such as YouTube, Spotify,
and educational podcasts, as well as interactive applications such as Quizizz and Edmodo which are
integrated in intensive listening and extensive listening activities. Students appear to be more
independent in accessing the material, repeating listening content as needed, and utilizing digital
learning resources without full dependence on the teacher's explanation. Thus, digital learning is not
only effective in improving listening skills, but also able to create a more active, efficient, and
student-centered learning process.
